With the success of his first Minneapolis restaurant, Salsa a la Salsa, Owner Lorenzo Azria was looking for a site to open a second restaurant.  About that same time, big plans were in the works for the Midtown Global Market—a 50,000 square foot public market located in the former Lake St. Sears building.

“The Midtown Global Market project came at a great time for us.  We were looking to open a new site and the Market appeared to be a great opportunity for our expansion,” stated Lorenzo.  “We were also intrigued with the mission and vision for the Midtown Global Market.  It’s great that so many people from the surrounding neighborhoods and neighborhood organizations are behind the project.”

He sees this tremendous local support as positive in addition to the outside exposure his restaurants have received through the City Pages, the Star Tribune, the Pioneer Press and various other publications.  Lorenzo looks forward to providing each patron at A La Salsa with a wonderful Mexican dining experience featuring food prepared using authentic recipes and great drinks in a fun atmosphere.

Lorenzo is an active member within the Twin City Latino community.  He serves on the Latino Economic Development Center Board of Directors as well as helps businesses within the community.
